Commision on Higher Education
The Commission on Higher Education is the governing body covering both public and private higher education institutions as well as degree-granting programs in all tertiary educational institutions in the Philippines. The CHED was established in May 18, 1994 through Republic Act 7722 or the Higher Education Act of 1994. 

 

 

SEAMEO-INNOTECH (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization - Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology)
The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) was born on November 30, 1965 to "...promote cooperation among the Southeast Asian nations through education, science and culture in order to further respect for justice, for the rule of law and for the human rights and fundamental freedoms which are the birthrights of the peoples of the world."

 

 

MEDCO (Mindanao Economic Development Council)
The Mindanao Economic Development Council or MEDCo was created on 19 March 1992 by virtue of Executive Order No. 512, signed by then President Corazon C. Aquino, to promote and coordinate the active participation of all sectors to effect the socio-economic development of Mindanao through a holistic and integrated approach.

 

 

 

NCIP (National Commission on Indigenous Peoples)
The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) is the primary government agency that formulates and implements policies, plans and programs for the recognition, promotion and protection of the rights and well-being of Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and the recognition of their ancestral domains and their rights thereto.

 

 

University of South Australia (UniSA)
UniSA was founded on 1 January 1991 through the amalgamation of the South Australian Institute of Technology and the Magill, Salisbury and Underdale campuses of the South Australian College of Advanced Education. Since then, it has quickly earned a reputation as a national leader in collaborative research, has been recognised nationally for innovation in teaching and has South Australia's largest intake of international students.

 

 

 

PAHRDF (Philippines Australian Human Resource Development Facility)
The Philippines Australian Human Resource Development Facility (PAHRDF) works to achieve a sharper focus of Human Resource Development (HRD) assistance in the Philippines through the adoption of institutional targeting approach within which both long and short term HRD support are provided for its partner institutions in an integrated and complementary manner.

 

 

USEP (University of Southeastern Philippines)
The University of Southeastern Philippines is a regional state university created in 1978 by Batas Pambansa Bilang 12. The University was an integration of four state institutions, namely: the Mindanao State University - Davao, the University of the Philippines - Extension Division in Davao, the Davao School of Arts and Trades, and the Davao National Regional Agricultural School.

 

 

 

DECS (Department of Education and Child Services)
The Department of Education and Children’s Services (DECS) is responsible for ensuring the provision of children’s services and public education throughout South Australia.

 

 

 

EQuALLS (Education Quality and Access for Learning and Livelihood Skills)
To help address these challenges, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)/Philippines has launched a new education program to improve access to quality education and livelihood skills in areas affected by conflict and poverty, particularly in Mindanao. To implement EQuALLS, USAID is partnering with the Philippine Department of Education (DepEd), DepEd-ARMM, the U.S. Peace Corps, the Asia America Initiative, Creative Associates International, Inc., and six private sector alliances.

Oxfam International is a confederation of 13 organizations working together with over 3,000 partners in more than 100 countries to find lasting solutions to poverty, suffering and injustice.

 

 

UNICEF Philippines
UNICEF is an agency of the United Nations that is devoted to the world’s children. It works with the Philippine government at the national, regional, and local levels to ensure the delivery of basic services for children and women, and to model good programme practices for children. 

 

 

Action for Conflict Transformation for Peace (ACT for Peace)
 A five-year multi-donor programme (June 2005 – May 2010) with the Mindanao Economic Development Council (MEDCo) as the Overall Implementing Agency in partnership with the ARMM Regional Government to strengthen peacebuilding efforts and sustain the gains for peace and development in Southern Philippines.

 

 

 

Balay Mindanao
Balay Mindanaw Foundation Inc. (BMFI) is a Mindanao-based and Mindanao-focused Philippine NGO. BMFI’s work and its people articulate a sense of fierce pride for Mindanao and a passion for transforming this poorest and most conflict-torn of the country’s regions into a “balay”, a true home for its peoples – Christians, Muslims and Lumads, indigenous peoples of Mindanao.
